Issue:

You have an iSCSI storeage server that is your target. It is doing snapshots and you need to get them off the storage server onto a storage device.
e.g. ESX --> VMs on OpenFiler iSCSI target --> Snapshots to snapshot volumne --> ??? How to get them off/out.

Solutions:

Option 1:
A simple way is simply use iSCSI again:

In Openfiler, goto Volumes --> iSCSI targets --> Create target map.
Create a target map LUN to the snapshot volume. Allow the backup server to attach to that volume. Backup the contents of the snapshots.

Option 2:
A more manual way, would be to share the snapshot volume in the web interface. Then you can download each one by clicking on it.

(BTW, the snapshots are mounted under /mnt/snapshots.)
