Resolution:

When running through the installation, it was decided to reuse the JWT Token. The token contains a number of invalid characters in both the .env file and the custom.env file. By re-using w/in the install.sh script, it became mangled in the .env and custom.env files.

1. Update both files, with the JWT_App_SECRET again:
# vi /home/myadminid/st1204/.env
...
# Application secret known only to your token.
JWT_APP_SECRET=12abcd ... 34ef
...
<esc>:wq (to save)

# vi /home/myadminid/st1204/custom.env
...
# Application secret known only to your token.
JWT_APP_SECRET=12abcd ... 34ef
...
<esc>:wq (to save)

2. Start Sametime:
# podman ps
<confirm none running>
or
# podman-compose down -t60
<confirm already shutdown>

# podman-compose up -d
