Task:
Remove Grafana and Prometheus monitoring from Sametime container installation in VM. This will turn off and eliminate the loading of those monitoring containers.
Steps:
Notes:
- The Grafana and Prometheus servers will no longer load. The Nginx container will no longer look for the upstream Grafana.
- Thanks to HCL support for confirming these steps
1. Disable in the Sametime config files:
a. Login:
$ ssh sysadmin@sametime.mindwatering.net
<enter pwd if not private key>
$ cd /home/myadminid/sametime1204/
b. Disable in the .env file:
- Comment out the monitoring profile line, COMPOSE_PROFILES.
$ vi .env
...
#COMPOSE_PROFILES=monitoring
...
<esc>:wq (to save)
c. Disable in the custom.env file:
- Change the Grafana proxy lines from true to false
$ vi .env
...
ENABLE_GRAFANA_PROXY=false
MONITORING_ENABLED=false
...
<esc>:wq (to save)
2. Bounce the Sametime system:
$ sudo podman-compose down t30
$ sudo podman-compose up -d
