Adding 96 i/o or 192 i/o Interface Notes:
The interface guide is useless.

Basically, hook up the new interface either:

1. Between HD card directly ("internal") to new interface with DigiLink cable.

2. Daisy chain with short DigiLink cable and loop sync cables.

For number 1 (Internal/Direct connection to HD card(s):
If doing directly, simply take a long DigiLink cable. Connect one end to the i/o interface's Primary port. Connect the other end to the HD Core card in the Mac or PC, or if already used a HD Accel card.
(We did not see that the Loop sync cables were needed if both cards were set to internal.)

For number 2 (Daisy chain):
Using the short DigiLink cable, connect the DigiLink Primary port of the new interface to the Expansion port on the existing one.
You ALSO NEED THE LOOP BNC wires that came with the existing and the new interface.

If you have TWO interfaces, then it's pretty straightforward:
Connect the Loop Out on the first interface to the Loop In on the second, then connect the Loop In on the first to the Loop Out on the second.

If you have THREE or more than it works like this:
Connect the Loop In on the first interface to the Loop Out of the second, then connect the Loop In on the second interface to the Loop Out on the third.
Lastly connect the Loop In on the third interface back to the Loop Out on the first interface.

Note:
If you have a 192 i/o, and a 96 i/o, the 192 interface must be first.
After we figured it out, we found a good diagram of this in the HD Setup Guide on pages 14-15 (PC) and 29-31(MAC) - the content is basically identical. We also saw that the documentation leads you to believe that the loop sync BNC connections are required for more than one interface. However, it seems to work without it when two are hooked each to their own interface.
