Issue:
Want to set password to limit/control access to DSP.

Solution:
Two options for security. Secure the DSP Cobra hardware vs secure the file from modifications/upload via the Designer.

Hardware Security:
Set via: Hardware --> Security
No communication w/hardware w/o password. If password is forgotten, you have to send a 232 reset command via the serial accessory port to reset the hardware to factory defaults. All configuration is wiped clean.

Software Security:
Set via: Tools --> User Manager --> Turn on/enable file security option.

This locks the file so it cannot be opened for viewing or updating. It also locks the file on the Cobra hardware. So you cannot view it from another Designer client either.
However, you can still download (actually Upload using correct terminology) the file from the Cobra device and have your vendor hack it.

It is possible for high-security to do both forms.
