UEB GUI Issues:
__________________________
Issue:
Login screen never appears (white screen) in Firefox.
Workaround 1:
The UEB appliance might be locked up. This is especially possible if the Summary tab in vCenter shows no IP and no VMware tools running in the guest.
Do a reboot and try again.
Workaround 2:
You may need to wait longer if you recently rebooted it in the last 2 to 5 minutes. If you look at the blank page's source, there are various JS scripts being loaded and HTML does exist, there just is no full HTML BODY tag contents. Wait another 2 minutes, close the tab, and visit the main page again. UEB doesn't seem to have been programmed with the vCenter type of message saying that it is still setting itself up.
Workaround 3:
Occasionally, we have issues with the name not matching (SSL/TLS) and the appliance/site being blocked. To work-around, we delete the exception, and give the exception again.

Issue:
The GUI loads, but no-one is home for backups and restores.
Workaround 1:
The appliance is like MS Windows, has lost its mind somewhere and needs a reboot. Reboot it.
Workaround 2:
The appliance is out of space even when space supposedly exists. The "solution" is to start over with a new appliance. Not a great solution. The workaround is to manually clear the backup disks. This is not supported, but saves time and works better than the official suggestion to reinstall. See the technote on the storage issue in this application/database.
Workaround 3:
Did the vCenter password time-out, you changed it there, but didn't change it in the your back-up appliance?
Update the password:
Configure --> Protected Assets (tab) --> check the vCenter DNS entry checkbox --> click Edit button
In the dialog, update the password, and click OK.
Notes:
- We noticed that the "root" vCenter password works for new installs, but seems to fail username/password check in the UEB appliances after its password is changed. You must use the administrator@vsphere.local account or other administrative account set-up in VCenter.
- Entering the administrator e-mail password may time-out, or give back an erroneous username/password fail dialog. Just re-enter it again. It will work by the 2nd or 3rd time.

Issue:
The Font sizes and dialogs don't fit on screen.
Workaround:
Only Firefox (MacOS / Windows) seems to present correctly.
Safari and IE (Windows VM) don't display well enough to use.
Exception, in Chrome and Safari, we can set the maximal font size to something small (say Helvetica with 10pt), and then most of the GUI sizes well enough to use.
