General

Mindwatering Web Docs version 2008a is a web site content management application which is consumed by site visitors via web browser and maintained by content authors via the Lotus Notes client.

Primary Goals:
  • Intended for public and internal web site production where the common content types are: web pages, web links, gallery albums and images, news / story items, and calendar event items.
  • Targeted to small to medium sized companies or departmental groups of large enterprise companies.
  • Designed with a CSS-based layout which means little or no customization of the NTF design should be necessary when the site "look" is applied.
  • Built so content authors need no or little HTML knowledge. Their focus is the addition and editing of text content within the design framework.

System Requirements:
  • Lotus Domino 7.0x or later. (Mindwatering can host your web site.)
  • Lotus Notes 7.0x or later. (Required for each content author.)
  • Disk space is negligible for template. Actual requirement depends on the amount and types of content added to the application.

Content Types:
  • Responsive Design
  • Dynamic menus.
  • Web Pages
  • Web Links
  • News / Story Items
  • Calendar Event Items
  • Albums and Galleries with fading picture "shows"
  • Site Feedback
  • Statistics
  • Application Setup profile and various HTML Head components for site meta-data, CSS layout design, and JavaScript libraries, etc.

Note: The discussion / blog components were removed in 2003 as other free OpenNTF templates were release and Lotus templates were included with Domino that perform these functions well.

Template Cost:
  • $0.00 for Mindwatering clients who hire Mindwatering to develop a web site and choose this application for its framework.
  • $0.00 with a Consulting Block Time purchase of 8 or more hours. This is used to help you deploy, setup, and train the staff who will build and maintain the web site(s) using the template.
(Note: Any travel requested by clients for on-site deployment or training are not included in the block time.)
