This error shows up when you open or publish to a server where the
extensions or IIS has gone flaky.
In FrontPage the exact errors have been:
1. Unknown Server Type "msiiis"
or
2. There is no server at port 80 of ...(server name goes here)
1. This error is an extensions error and requires a server reboot.
2. This error either means the server has crashed (iis) or the extensions.
It can sometimes be fixed by a restart of the service (if the site doesn't
show in a browser - and is really crashed). If not, a reboot is required.
At the time of this writing, the Microsoft knowledge base (an oxymoron in
the highest sense) has nothing on this scenario.
