To make a character move in a repeating cycle, without keying every movement manually. For example, a walk cycle.

Select the armature of the character
Key in one (1) cycle (e.g., in a walk cycle, right foot forward, left foot behind -> left foot forward, right foot behind -> right foot forward, left foot behind)
Make sure that the positions of the armature bones at the beginning and end of the cycle are the same
Select bones participating in cycle (e.g., hips down)

Go to Graph Editor
A to Select All
Go to Channel -> Extrapolation Mode -> Make Cyclic

Character should have continuous walk cycle if scrubbed through timeline.
