Issue:
By accident, you created folders on the root of the File Station instead of within the users folder.
Solution:
You can delete folders you create using the Control Panel.
1. Navigate: Control Panel --> Privilege Settings (menu left) --> Shared Folders (menu left underneath).

2. Put a check box beside the folder to delete. Click the Remove button, and confirm.

3. Return to the File Station.
Note:
Since the root folder is a RAM disk, what is most likely created on the "root" view is just in RAM.
I could not actually find them in the / folder or the /root folder.
I did find link (shadow links) in the /shared/FILESHARENAME/ folder. However, deleting them via SSH didn't work. They were still in the File Station.
