Issue:
Migration to different host and/or datastore fails with the following error:
Insufficient video RAM. The maximum resolution of the virtual machine will be limited to 1176x885 at 16 bits per pixel. To use the configured maximum resolution of 2360x1770 at 16 bits per pixel, increase the amount of video RAM allocated to this virtual machine by setting svga.vramSize="16708800" in the virtual machine's configuration file.

Solution:
If VMware tools is not installed, reduce the memory given to the video card in the settings of the VM.
1. Shut down the virtual machine using VM --> Power --> Shut Down Guest.
2. Right-click the virtual machine and choose Edit Settings.
3. On the Hardware tab, select the Video card.
- Under, Specify custom settings, Change the Total video memory field to a lower number. (There is Video Memory Calculator which can be helpful.)
4. Click OK.
5. Power on the virtual machine.

If VMware tools is installed, set the video card to auto in the settings of the VM.
1. Shut down the virtual machine using VM --> Power --> Shut Down Guest.
2. Right-click the virtual machine and choose Edit Settings.
3. On the Hardware tab, select the Video card.
- Change the Displays and video memory radio button field to Auto-detect settings.
4. Click OK.
5. Power on the virtual machine.
