1. If not started already, type "service vncserver start" at a terminal prompt.
Alternately you could bring up the services in Gnome and start VNCServer that way.

2. Type "vncpassword", at the terminal prompt.

3. Enter the new password. Enter again to verify.

4. Next type just "vncserver". The server will spit out the name/number of the desktop to which to attach and the dns address.

5. Run VNC client or TightVNC client and test it out.
