#2 - ProTools also has an issue with AMD or newest Intel processors with NX bit or DEP hacker/virus protection feature. You have to turn off this protection.
The main problem seems to be that digidesign's driver behaves like certian buffer-overrun exploits by trying to execute code that it has written during runtime.
