Sample Setup for Domino Doc. 3.1/3.5

Domino.doc Security/ACL

1. Manually create 3 group types in the NAB/Domino Directory. You may want to create more than 1 of each group type for each file cabinet. Example:
DomDoc Readers - can read documents and create search documents.
DomDoc Editors - Can edit file cabinets, binders and documents.
DomDoc Managers - Can create file cabinets, change ACL's and edit all.
2. Open library à click "Library Administration.
3. Open desired file cabinet
4. Click "Edit file cabinet"
5. Click on "Access Control" button on the top menu bar
6. Click on "Invite Users & Groups" button.
7. Select one of the groups that you manually created.
8. Select "Access level" choose reader, editor or manager.
9. The group you selected is automatically added to the ACL of the file cabinet with the necessary roles, etc. The group is also added to one of the default groups that Domino.doc created on setup.

Document Security

1. Create new document from within the file cabinet
2. Go to the bottom of the form for the Draft Editors portion.
3. Deselect "Draft Editors". This will make the "Add/Remove" button available to you.
4. Click the "Add/Remove" button and add the group/groups that you manually created.
5. When the document is submitted for approval, the user has the option to click on the drop down menu and choose from the available groups. (from step #4)
6. When the group is selected, the members of the group are displayed. The user can then select some or all of the members.
